It is claimed that HS2 will galvanise the Midlands economy – yet it will not create a single direct link between any cities of the East and West Midlands. HSUK’s full integration with the existing network will allow the creation of a ‘Midlands Ring’, directly interlinking all the principal cities of the Midlands.
